Real Mom Talk: Learning and Growing

"She can do her classes independently now and I can hear her laughing and participating in class."

Q: How long has your child been learning with BumoBrain? 

A: Since it launched! Not exactly sure when that was but around the beginning of the Pandemic. 

Q: What classes have they tried? 

A: We’ve been in the Success program for a while but in terms of LIVE classes…Amelie has tried almost all of the classes! Sticky Stem, Coding, Bumo Keys, Vietnamese, Magnetiles, Animal Kingdom… 

Q: Who is your child’s BumoTeacher? 

A: She started with Ms. Joyce (Bumo birdies) and recently moved to Bumo Bunnies class with Ms. Eugnenia. 

Q: Why did you decide on these classes?

A: I needed something more consistent for Amelie and having a schedule of at least the 2 classes with a teacher has been great for her. We supplement with Live classes to keep her busy.

Q: Does your child use Bumo as a replacement for in-person learning or as a supplement to their usual education? 

A: Since the pandemic happened, we pulled Amelie out of Japanese pre-school so Bumo was definitely a replacement for the in-person classes. 

Q: What’s their favorite part about their experience?

A: BumoBrain has been great for our family!!! I don’t know where I would be without it and how Amelie’s education would be. I’m not a teacher so I’m not sure about school curriculums and things but Bumo has amazing worksheets and I can see how much Amelie has grown and I feel that she will definitely excel in school when it becomes in person again. 

Q: What’s your favorite part about their experience/the Bumo curriculum?

A: I love how excited Amelie is about Bumo. We have scheduled most of her classes in the morning so she starts her day with doing worksheets and the morning videos. The worksheets are AWESOME!!! While we don’t always watch all the videos in each lesson daily, we appreciate how much work goes into them about how much the videos and characters have evolved. I also appreciate the STEAM activities. We have on and off days but Amelie really loves what things we make when we actually do them! I guess that shows how the flexibility really works well with us.

Q: How have you seen their education with BumoBrain impact their development? 

A: In the beginning, I was really concerned about Amelie not speaking so much but I’ve seen her become more and more outgoing in her classes. When we join a different live class she says “ooh! A lot of friends!!!” It’s pretty sad that Amelie hasn’t had much REAL interaction with anyone else besides her older sister during the pandemic but she seems to be more outgoing during her classes now. I really appreciate how the teachers are great at presenting problems as the friends helping each other. How the teachers talk during class and react when the kids don’t really answer or are doing something distracting is really impressive and I am so grateful for their patience!

Q: What are your goals for your child as they continue learning with Bumo?

A: For now, I just want to keep Amelie busy while also LEARNING. I didn’t want to just have her watch TV all day. I wanted to make sure she was developing educational-wise (is that even a word?) and building skills that will prepare her for Kindergarten.

Q: What would you share with other parents who are curious about trying Bumo?

A: I’ve been such a Bumo supporter since the beginning. Not only because I wanted to support Chriselle but I truly believed that Bumo has helped my child during this pandemic.  I know a lot of parents are concerned that they are too busy and don’t want to have to sit with their child during classes but to be honest, it’s only like 30 minutes of your day to sit with your child and watch them engage during class. In the beginning I would sit next to Amelie to make sure she wasn’t doing anything distracting, or turning off her camera, but now, I can just set up the computer and she can independently participate in class without me watching over her like a Tiger Mom. I honestly believe that kids need routine and this pandemic has been really hard on all of us. I know that as moms we have SO MUCH TO DO, but Bumo really helped Amelie by helping us create a routine learning environment for her. I often see moms asking in FB groups about classes young kids can take for certain topics and I’m always in there answering BUMOBRAIN! 

Q: Why do you prefer Bumo over the others?

A: I heard some friends tried OUTSCHOOL or something. I kept seeing ads on FB, but felt those classes were kind of just ONE class at a time, and we weren’t looking for something like that. 

Q: Does your child participate in any other programs with Bumo?

A: She is in the Birdie Success Program and receives 9 lives classes a month. We’ve started to get the hang of it and she really likes BumoKeys, Magnetiles and Animal Kingdom.

Q: What has Bumo’s impact been on you/your child’s/your family’s lives since the Pandemic/Virtual Learning? 

A: It’s been a LIFESAVER!!!!! Our entire family contributes to Amelie’s Bumobrain activities now. Her grandfather is in charge of printing the worksheets.  If my husband and I are busy, grandma helps her complete the worksheets. Her dad helps her with the STEAM arts & crafts daily now. I used to do all of it but realized that delegating work with our family has really been great for Amelie. 

Q: What other classes/programs would you like to see from Bumo in the future? 


Q: How could we make you/your child’s experience better?

A: So far I think it’s great!!!!  

Q: How do you foresee your child’s future with Bumo?

A: I would like to continue at least the  live classes with Bumo when Amelie starts Elementary school, but it will depend how busy we are.   

Q: What do you feel is your child’s biggest benefit from learning with Bumo?

A: I can’t even describe it. Amelie is just SO excited about BUMO. She loves Snakey and wormy. She feels so confident when she completes her worksheets by herself. She has been loving Ms. Eugenia’s class so much!!! She can do her classes independently now and I can hear her laughing and participating in class. Recently she has been enjoying Mr. Andy’s class too. I feel that Bumo really created something that was a perfect substitute for in person learning.  It basically feels like the best homeschool experience.

Cancellation Policy

BümoBrain Live Class Program Refunds

Cancellations for live classes must be made at least 7 calendar days prior to the first class date of said cancelled program. For instance, if Client cancels a live class program that is scheduled to start on March 20, 2021, then the program should be cancelled no later than March 13, 2021 by 11:59 PM Pacific Time. For such cancellations, Client will receive a full refund within 3 business days. Any cancellation within 7 days of the first class of said program will not be eligible for a refund. Client cannot transfer a credit for such classes for another class for any reason. Should Client want to switch classes, Client must cancel original classes/program and book new classes. Should Client cancel and be eligible for a refund and has not received a refund, please email

Subscription Terms

At BumoBrain, we offer monthly memberships ( “Membership”). Please review these BumoBrain Membership Terms carefully and make sure you understand them before enrolling because they contain important and relevant information regarding any Membership you may purchase, including renewal and cancellation terms. Memberships are continuous and automatically renew unless you cancel your Membership or we otherwise terminate your account.

By purchasing a Membership, you agree to the terms below, as well as our Terms of Use and Sale.

1. BumoBrain Digital Memberships. If you choose a digital membership, your Membership will provide you with access to lessons for your student’s age cohort on the BumoBrain platform– you will be able to stream video content on BumoBrain, Members-Only sales events, special offers and discounts from great educational and children’s brands, and more. The BumoBrain Digital Membership does not include the BumoBrain Box. Your BumoBrain Digital Memberships automatically renew annually on the anniversary of your initial billing date and, unless you cancel your Membership in accordance with these Membership Terms (in particular, see section 3 “Cancellation” below), your payment method on file will be automatically charged for the next month (i.e., $49 USD (plus taxes if applicable)).

2. BumoBrain and Box Memberships. A BumoBrain Membership consists of access outlined in the BumoBrain Digital Membership along with a monthly product box (each, a “Box”) and an additional Box sent out each month thereafter.

If you sign up for a BumoBrain Membership, you will be immediately billed $99 USD (plus shipping and taxes if applicable) as a non-refundable minimum purchase and that month’s box will be the first Box you receive. The specific Box you receive as a first-time subscriber is subject to availability or may be based on the specific promotional code that you choose to use. Your Membership will then continue and your credit or debit card will be charged $99 USD (plus shipping and taxes, if applicable) monthly from your initial charge date.

The BumoBrain Membership is for an ongoing service that is billed each month ($49.99 USD, plus shipping and taxes if applicable) and will be automatically charged to your payment method on file. Unless you cancel in accordance with these Membership Terms (in particular, see section 3 “Cancellation” below), you will continue to be charged as described above.

3. Cancellation Policy. You may cancel your Membership with us at any time, subject to the time frames below. We do not place “holds” on Memberships.

In order to cancel your Membership, you must do one of the following: (a) email us at, indicate that you wish to cancel your Membership, and follow the instructions that we send you in response; OR (b) log into your Member Account, navigate to the “Manage Subscription” link or “My subscription and orders” tab, choose Cancel, and follow the instructions; OR (c) log into your Member Account, navigate to the Customer Concierge tab, and follow the instructions to cancel; OR (d) text us at 1-424-500-8556, indicate that you wish to cancel your Membership, and follow the instructions given.

There are no cancellation fees.
Cancellations must be effected prior to the billing date of the Membership renewal. Cancelling your Membership does not provide you a refund for Membership payments already processed, nor does it stop a pending charge. Your cancellation will go into effect for the following billing cycle.

4. Taxes and Shipping and Handling. Stated prices for Membership and other products (including Edit Sale products and Add-Ons) do not include any customs, duties, sales, use, value-added, excise, federal, state, local or other taxes. You are solely responsible for the payment of such taxes related to your purchase. We have the right to charge you for any taxes that we believe we are required to pay or collect related to your purchase. Please also note that shipping and handling fees currently apply to all shipments outside the contiguous United States.

5. Data Transfers. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we may transfer your billing information to our third-party payment processors, other service providers, and certain trusted third parties.
